Virtual Networking: What to Expect & How to Join
This year has certainly been an obstacle and a challenge that has allowed PCYP to grow, think, and adapt in new creative ways.
Before COVID-19, PCYP held monthly in-person networking events hosted and sponsored by local businesses with upwards of 200+ attendees. Unfortunately, handshaking, hugs, trading business cards, and large gatherings are discouraged during this time. This presented us with an unusual challenge: how do we keep people connected if we can’t be together?
While we are now able to have much smaller, masked, socially-distanced in-person networking events, some members are still unable to attend. While we keep everyone’s health and safety in mind during our small in-person networking events, we completely understand everyone’s restrictions and want to ensure that no one misses out on networking.
Et Voilà! Virtual events were born! For the past few months, we’ve been holding Monday’s Sippin’ with Brad and Wednesday’s Networking with Jenna! These events alternate each week and are available at different times (sometimes at noon, sometimes after work) so everyone gets a chance to join an event every month!
HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AT A VIRTUAL EVENT:
– Casual dress (wear whatever makes you comfortable, find a cozy spot to sit, and grab a drink or snack)
– Friendly professionals who are ready to meet you and network
– Silly topics and conversations
– A great time (all from the comfort of your home)
What are you waiting for? We want to connect with you, so join us!
