PCYP Virtual Networking Event Sponsored by Essential Businesses
We had so much fun catching up with everyone at our 2nd networking event!
With stay at home orders in place due to COVID-19, we’re all getting creative with ways to connect with one other, stay sane, and grow ourselves and our businesses.
At the event we discussed ways to continue networking with the PCYP community, host your own virtual events, and how to optimize your own social media profiles to maximize how you grow your network virtually in challenging economic climates. We heard from people brand new to Port City Young Professionals and some that have been around a long time. A lot of great advice was given, connections made, and community built. Thank you to all who participated!
Local essential businesses who sponsored the event shared the great things their businesses are doing to serve our community.

Tim let us know there was a dip in home showings at the beginning of the lock down but things have been trending upward and homes are still being bought and sold in our community.
“As a Homes for Heroes REALTOR, I give back 25% of my commission to local Hero buyers and sellers of their homes. This includes healthcare workers, EMTs, firefighters, law enforcement, teachers and military (active/veteran/retired).
I’ve given back over $16,000 to local Hero clients already year to date. I have made donations to Southern Connection to sew head bands for face masks for healthcare workers. I’ve made donations to Drift Coffee & Kitchen for their ‘Coffee for Caregivers’ campaign underway. I also serve on the USO of NC Regional Advisory Board raising money to support our active duty military members serving locally and throughout the state in support of COVD-10 taskings and deployments.”
