Ambassador Program

  • Expectations of a PCYP Ambassador

    • I am a networking/connector ROCK STAR • I am a friendly, kind, and encouraging person who believes in giving value to others without the expectation of receiving. • I do my best to attend all PCYP events in 2020 whether I have an assignment or not. • When I attend and am not volunteering, I know that by being an ambassador I will be approached by attendees who will want to learn more about me, about Port City Young Professionals, and I'll do my best to get to know them and make at least one introduction to someone else. I do my best to get to know the other ambassadors and refer them business when it makes sense. • If I'm referred any business by an ambassador or PCYP member, I will respond, be gracious, help or refer to someone else. • I respond to questions asked, polls posted, etc in the PCYP Ambassador Facebook Group and RSVP to events without needing to be reminded. • I share PCYP events on Facebook, LinkedIn, and/or Instagram (at least once per event) I share with others in my sphere of influence about the benefits of attending and joining PCYP. • I show up on time when I've committed to volunteer and will stay until the next ambassador shift arrives. • When I am introduced to a new member, or guest, I do my best to make them feel welcomed and appreciated. • I'm happy to answer questions about Port City Young Professionals and membership and introduce them to 1-3 other people. • I do my best to keep up with my Ambassador name tag and bring to every event. (you can also leave it in Jenna's event bag after every event) • I’m familiar with the PCYP website pcypapp.com so I know where to refer people re: membership (joinpcyp.com), non-profit features, newsletter sign up • I am familiar with the PCYP App so I can show people how to search for businesses, member perks, upcoming events • I am familiar with the ambassador liaison program for new members • I know all the core 4 and co-leaders for PCYP and have their contact info saved. • If I can’t make a shift, I reach out to the co-leader for that event and try my best to replace myself by calling other ambassadors.
